murwillumbah mixed abilities

This mixed abilities theatre course is an all inclusive opportunity to have a fabulously fun time whilst learning some serious theatre skills!! Proudly brought to you by Public Act Theatre and supported by TWEED SHIRE COUNCIL.

The course is open to anyone with a disability, or a lived experience with disability, aged 18 and older, with the ability to engage. It is also open to carers and mentors.

Theatre is a wonderful arena to in which to explore and build confidence, social skills, spatial awareness, voice and also the themes which arise within the group.

We will be playing with theatre games, simple movement and gesture exercises, image theatre, improvisation and voice. We will sometimes use costume, props, musical instruments and recorded music, with the possibility of developing a showcase of work to be shared with the community.

The Autumn Club hall is a large hall in central Murwillumbah with very easy access. Our emphasis is on creating a safe and very supportive space where all can engage at their own level of ability. It’s going to be fun! Participant age restrictions - Anyone 18 + ! Please contact Philippa today on 0422 882 319.
